GM will start a recall in 14th of January,because there is some of the new Chevrolet Sonic with out break pad,Dealer will check there cars if there any missing pads in it.

Fortunately there no crashes were reported as a results of the missing,This was discovered when a rental company checks it's Sonic in warranty service.

GM will recall about 4.296 vehicles those vehicles were built from June 2/2011 to November21/2011,Either the inner or outer front break pad is missing in those cars .

GM spokesman Alan Adler said. "A missing brake pad could result in longer stopping distances and increase the likelihood of a crash".[via : leftlane]

Despite that lada just began the making of Granta,It already have a 20,000 orders for it which represent the fifth of next year’s production,That made the Granta a big leap forward for Lada.

To keep the cost as low as possible, the Granta is heavily based on the smaller Kalina hatchback. Only 30% of Granta parts are specific to the model,Under the hood is an eight-valve 1.6 four-cylinder that spins the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. Lada’s new sixteen-valve 1.4 unit is expected to be made available before the end of 2012.

Lexus will unveil the LF-LC concept at Detroit auto show

Finally in early January at the Detroit auto show Lexus will unveil its LF-LC sports coupe concept.

The LF-LC will fill the hole made by the SC model challenging the BMW 6 Series and the SL Mercedres Benz,The LF-LC a great design described as ( the new design direction embraced by Lexus).

Lexus has made a commitment to producing more engaging vehicles, but we still expect the LF-LC to be more of a boulevard cruiser. However, Lexus’ “F” treatment could provide a legitimate sports version of the 2+2.

We can take from this photos that the concept model will be hybrid it can be tell from the hybrid badge in the car's lower section.In addition Lexus didn't tell details and waiting to unveil it at the Detroit show.

Automotive news Europe announced that the ForTwo electric model minicar will begin to be available by Daimler's subsidiary in 9/2012.The ForTwo which considered by the brand to be it's great launch in 2012 was scheduled to delivers months ago not the next September.Spokeswoman said that the deliveries was scheduled to begin in June but a setback with Li-Tec (It's battery cell supplier) changed their plan.

Daimler announced that the ForTwo will be launched in 30 global markets start in spring 2012 according to a press release on 9/ 13/2011,The batteries that the third-generation electric ForTwo will use are produced by a joint venture between Daimler and Deutsche Accumotive, a German supplier Evonic. BMW 6 series will cost you 79.500 euros in Germany

The Blimmer Today magazine posted that the new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe will be available to German customers with a price starts from 79,500 euros.BMW 640i GC is priced about 4,800 euros more than the identically powered 6er Coupe. Next on the pricing scale is the BMW 640 Gran Coupe which will sell for 83,000 euros, while the high-end 650i GC goes for 92,600 euros.

The 650i XDrive version adds another 3.400 euros to it's total price which is 96,000 euros.

Audi A7 starts with 48,900 euros for the 2.9 FSI front-wheel drive model,In addition the 3.0 TFSI model with 300 hp priced with 58,600,Amazingly lower thatn the 640i Gran Coupe.Mercedes’s lowest-priced CSL variant is the 250 CDI with a price of 59,857 euros, while the 306 horsepower CLS 350 sells for 64,617 euros, or approximately 15,000 euros cheaper than the 640i Gran Coupe. The leaked photos shows the new Forte sedan more sculpted and look more like the big Optima sedan.Also it looks specially in the C-pillar area like the KIA GT - concept.There is no info about what will be under the hood or the interior and we will wait and see if this photos shows the real deal.[via leftlane]

AMP promises all-new electric SUV debut at Detroit Auto Show

An electric automaker that hasn’t gotten quite the same amount of press as names like Tesla or Fisker, AMP Holding Inc., is about to bring a second all-electric SUV to the U.S.

According to an announcement from AMP, the electric automaker will use the Detroit Auto Show to show off what it is referring to as an “iconic American SUV – now 100% electric.”

AMP specializes in converting existing vehicles to all-electric propulsion, as it has previously done with the Mercedes-Benz ML-Class SUV. Because of that history, it makes the most likely candidate for this new conversion the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which shares underpinnings with the ML from the Daimler-Chrysler days.

“The new AMP model is our latest 100% electric offering and a demonstration of our proprietary technology for SUVs, giving a driving range of 100+ miles. Where most EVs are small, compact or subcompact, our mission is to give our EV buyers vehicles that the greatest percent of the car-buying public prefers,” said Jim Taylor, AMP CEO.

AMP also promises to allow for show-goers, both press and public, to sample driving the new electric SUV at the Detroit Auto Show at the show’s special Ride and Drive Track.

Although not much is known about this EV SUV, it is known that AMP intends to largely market the vehicle to fleets and businesses, rather than traditional consumers. The AMP-converted ML350 has a zero-to-60 time of under 10 seconds, 100 mile range and a top speed of 100 miles per hour.[via : Leftlane]

Honda teams up with Mugen Euro to launch sporty CR-Z ICF

Honda (UK) is working with MUGEN Euro to launch a 130+mph sports hybrid CR-Z, which boasts of Civic Type R performance. This initiative follows a successful program launch at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011. This 175 PS1 "pocket rocket" hybrid has nearly 50 percent more power than the regular vehicle. It marks the strengthening of the engineering partnership between the two companies following the limited edition Civic Type R MUGEN in 2010.

Engineers at MUGEN Euro worked on the 1.5-litre power unit, keeping the 3-button IMA modes. They also added a centrifugal forced air induction system, induction system, charge-air cooler and a MUGEN Euro-mapped ECU. With these features, the vehicle has a remarkable power to weight ratio as well as an enhanced torque helping to deliver 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds -- over 3 seconds quicker than the regular vehicle.

According to Head of Honda (UK) marketing Martin Moll, the "MUGEN Euro magic" has developed a "super responsive yet eco-conscious model building on our sporting credentials." He added that this allows them to compete in the "hot hatch" marketplace as they move towards 2012. Production development will still be at MUGEN Euro, with vehicles available for test drive in spring 2012 through the eight Honda UK MUGEN dealers. The CR-Z has a broad stance and wedgelike profile. Inspired by the CRX two-seater sold in 1990 and '91, the CR-Z  shares that model's split liftgate window, an element that remains controversial in terms of style and driver visibility in the Insight and Toyota Prius.

At 160 inches long, the CR-Z is a few inches longer than a Mazda MX-5 Miata and the extended version of the Mini Cooper, the Clubman. Exterior features include:

F20 BMW 1 Series by AC Schnitzer

As we approach the 2011 Essen Motor Show, tuners from around Europe are starting to reveal their latest creations. Earlier today, AC Schnitzer showed us a preview of the 650i Coupe, and now the German tuner follows up with another unveil: BMW 1 Series F20.

First pictures of the AC Schnitzer 1 Series were shown approximately two months, but since then, the Aachen-based company has updated their offering.

At the front, the 1 Series features a sportier look thanks to the redesigned front spoiler, a rear roof spoiler, a racing tailpipe trim and alloy wheels in 18 or 19 inches. For a more sporty driving performance, AC Schnitzer offers an optional spring kit.

The AC Schnitzer performance upgrades take the standard 118d from 143 to 171 horsepower, and the 120d from 184 to 210 horsepower. This is reflected visually in the AC Schnitzer engine styling and the chromed “Racing” exhaust tailpipe.

Dynamics and lifestyle are also presented in the interior of the BMW 1 Series by AC Schnitzer. The aluminium “Black Line” gear knob, a gear knob with digital gear display, or an illuminated leather gear knob are available for the discerning BMW customer.

And that’s not all: the AC Schnitzer “Black Line” aluminium cover for the i-Drive system controller, aluminium handbrake handle with chrome details or fully in “Black Line”, aluminium foot rest and pedal set, and velours floor mats offer plenty of scope for customizing the interior.

There’s a similarly wide choice when it comes to filling the wheelarches in the 1 Series by AC Schnitzer. The new photo gallery of the new 3 Series was released by BMW while being tested somewhere near Barcelona.

The new model has become lager than its previous models,with its car's length (+ 93 mm/3.66 in.),wheelbase (+ 50 mm/1.96 in.) and wide track (front + 37 mm/1.46 in., rear + 47 mm/1.85 in.) especially prominent.

BMW applied a standard package and M sport package for the first time to the new 3 series,and three new lines (Sport,luxury and Modern).This will be a great options for the customers to choices from.

Can the Four-Cylinder N20B20 reach 300 hp

As you read Kelleners the tuner from Europe working on the N20B20 Four-cylinder turbocharged engine which belongs to BMW.The 2.0 liter from that engine model produces 184 and 245 hp in the ideal case,The one with 184 hp is in The 120 I , X1 20I,X320I,Z4 sDrvie 20I and 520I models.

The engine with 245 hp is used in 528I and the new 328I models.The 184 hp engine and the 245 already increased to 220.and 294 hp respectively.

In addition the torque was increased too from 270 NM to 324 NM,and 350 NM to 420 NM.The 294 hp and the 420 NM made the performance of the 2.0 liter turbocharged Four-Cylinder looks more like the 3.0liter TwinPower turbocharged inline Six-Cylinder.

That outstanding hp and performance improvement is applied with the performance tuning modules that are connected to the original BMW connectors of BMW,However the pricing for the performance improvement has not announcement by Kelleners yet.
