Last week I got a chance to drive a Toyota Prius-2010 model which the specifications in it aroused my curiosity to write this Review. Recent days I went through internet and found out the pros and cons about Toyota Prius 2010. I’m writing this review with my personal experience and other reviews which were published on internet.
Exterior
· It was a modification of its predecessor hybrids. Eye catching design of it invites someone to buy Prius 2010.
Interior
· When I first got in to the car I felt something nontraditional. It had been designed with loads of new features. Interior was designed with plastics with irritating vapors. But still I felt I was in strange world.
Seats
· Equipped with electric lumber support in seats which we cannot see in most other cars and it gave a good shape for the seats.
Steering wheel
· Adjustable. but it is still far away from the proper seat position.
Audio and GPS
· There is no full I pod or USB drive integration for the stereo.
· DVD based navigation system reacts slowly
Battery
· In the terms of voltage it is same as its predecessor prius. But the size had been reduced and repositioned.
· Reduction in size of the battery has increased in cabin room and cargo space.
Engine
Third generation Prius has used 1.8L DOHC 16 Valve-I 1.8L Atkinson Cycle engine which, the performance and Fuel economy is much higher than previous Prius.
Additional Driving mode
· This was equipped with EV mode, rather than just normal and ECO
· EV mode keeps Prius 2010 in electric mode for about a mile at speeds less than 40kmph.
New Features and Options
· Advance technology Package-which includes Pre-collision system, Lane keep assist and intelligent parking assist, and also the Solar roof package.
· Solar roof package is used for the ventilation and Air conditioning system .
Driving Experience
· Lightness of steering
· Getting around 50mpg on average
· Good fuel economy and it is accelerator sensitive.
· Good acceleration than its predecessors
Nice transmission
· Three buttons for it various modes and fourth for park
· Stalk with new design which is compatible with interior
