The RetroMade Spyder is inspired by a renowned 1950’s race car. It was in fact the beginning of a well known reliable German car trademark. But, despite the fact that its modelled on the outstanding shape of the vintage, Retro-Made goes beyond when considering drivetrain and suspension. So it is possible to obtain as much power as 245 HP. And, needless to say, there'll be enough driving qualities along with proper braking power. Together with two wheelbases, there's a great deal of further selections to pick from.
The tiniest version of RetroMade Spyder is based on the VW Kafer (Beetle). Later models have to be retrofitted to torsion bar springs, since there is not sufficient space for the vertically mounted Mc Pherson suspension struts beneath the flat bonnet. Indeed, the Beetle’s engines hardly provide adequate power for drivers with dreams. So alternatives are provided. One is the 1.7 Liter motor of the Alfa 33. It generates 132 HP. This couldn 't be considered impressive today. But as a result of the low weight, race car-like performance is guaranteed.
Even more is given by a Subaru Boxer-type blend. It churns out as much as 245 HP. In these instances the car is underpinned by a Pontiac Fiero chassis. Thus it features a mid engine layout, which has a positive effect on the driving manners. And with our S model, handling is further improved.
RetroMade Spyder is obtainable in two width. Aside from the conventional body a wider one can be ordered. This S model provides more space for broader rims. Maximum tire width in the frontaxle is 185, whilst the rear wheel houses handle up to 205 mm wide rubbers.

This probably won't seem very spectacular in the beginning. Yet, on a small sports vehicle like our Spyder, it seems amazingly athletic. Together with that, grip and handling are improved. So this solution is especially advisable when more potent engines are selected.
Classic and modern wheels are offered too - a few actually in the maximum width of seven Inch. Steering wheel and mirror options round off the choices. And, finally, you can, naturally, get your RetroMade Spyder in any colouring needed, both in and outside.Details are supplied [via Retro-Ma]
